Pilates Its way more of a workout then most folks really think its going to be. The moves make you use different muscles that don't generally get used and it really only takes a short about of time before you are seeing a difference in your body shape.
I have a bad hip and knee(due to a bad Exh!) so I have to be really careful of the choice of exercise I do. I can't do alot of running/jumping sort of stuff cause ...well things snap out of place. ;)
Pilates works for me!
I am gathering quite a library of DVDs and will list their titles for anyone else interested.
I am going to start really pushing the envelope and see how much of a change I can make with my body before May 2008. (Thats my big trip to France!)
Anyone else do pilates???

I did Pilates before I injured my nerve in my back and leg. I can't do them anymore and I really miss it. Its hard but wow what a work out you get. My sister is a certified pilates instructor and she helped with getting all the moves right.

Deena, I think I have a Pilates DVD too somewhere LOL! I need to watch it sometime.
Cedara, I've heard a lot of great things about pilates and heard it's a serious workout...that you end up working muscles you didn't even know you had.
I'm determined that 2008 is THE year that I'm going to get serious about getting into good shape.

Last year about this time I was doing alot of Pilates.
Loved it too. I would do my 20 min one...and then do Yoga or kickboxing or some other dvd I had.
My neck is really messed up, and I thought doing pilates would make it hurt worse..but it did just the opposite.. I think it made it feel better.
Yup...got to slowly add my pilates back in!
