Simple Alfredo This is so easy to make and we always receive complements,
Oh but don't think about the ingredients as it is a cream sauce, so very good but not something you should eat daily LOL
1 Cube Butter
2 Cups of Parmesan Cheese
1 pint of heavy whipping cream
fresh garlic
salt and pepper
Melt about a tablespoon or so of the butter into your sauce pan, just enough to coat the bottom. Use a garlic press to press 1 to 2 cloves of garlic into the pan. As soon as you start to smell a hint of nut the garlic is done and add the rest of the butter.
Start to whisk in the whipping cream to the melted butter and garlic. Once the whipping cream is almost to a simmer it's time to add the cheese.
This is easy to scald since it's got cream so you must stir it the entire time and keep it just below a simmer, you want to see maybe a bubble or two but that's it.
As for the cheese, you have to add shredded parmesan or any Italian cheese combination you prefer. Add a little at a time or you will end up with large clumps of cheese. Slowly add and stir, once you have gotten about a cup and a half start tasting it to reach the richness you prefer. If it tastes a bit to much like the cream just add more cheese.
Its so simple rich and yummy.
