I went to an orphanage in Kyrgyzstan while on my last deployment. What a precious gift children are. They were poor compared to American standards but you could tell that to then they were taken care off. Although they had no indoor plumbing or any of the luxuries of living that many of us enjoy they were simply happy with the simple things like a new box of crayons or a stack of colored paper.
I am so thankful for my opportunity to serve in the military and the wonderful service that it allows me to share with others.
